We welcomed Brenda back to the Vision Tech family in 2016. As many of you remember, she began working here in 1992 before having to leave town with her husband’s work. She has experience in all aspects of an Optometric practice. As past President of the Virginia Para-Optometric Association, she has helped plan and leads continuing education conferences. She continues to enjoy doing vision screenings, optical repairs at local businesses, schools, health fairs, and nursing home facilities. Brenda makes choosing custom eyewear a fun and positive experience by frame styling to your specific activities, facial shape, and personal style.
Brenda and her husband, Doug, have been married for twenty-nine years and are proud parents of their two children, Whitney Jo and Kenton. She’s involved with her church and enjoys photography, party planning, and shopping.
Lori joined Vision Tech Optometry Center in 2019. She began her career as an apprentice Optician in 2007, then received her American Board of Opticianry certification and her Virginia State Optician’s License in 2012. She is also a member of the Virginia Opticians Association. Lori grew up in Waynesboro and has a passion for patients and assisting them with top quality eyewear and service.
Lori and her husband, Scott, have been married for twenty-eight years and they have a son, Austin. She is active in her church, enjoys music, traveling, as well as spending time with her family and dog, Peyton.
Donna has been with Vision Tech Optometry Center since 1982. Her most recent office role is as a receptionist. Donna enjoys spending time with her family, including her three granddaughters, as well as traveling and keeping involved with church activities.
Laurie is our newest team member. She comes to Vision Tech Optometry Center with years of experience. She has great technical and interpersonal skills, and she enjoys working with people. Laurie loves a new challenge and is not afraid of hard work. She loves spending time with her family, grandkids, and friends. She also loves to sing in church.
Sherry has been with Vision Tech since 1996. She transitioned to part-time in June 2020 and works primarily off-site. Her primary duties include providing insurance services to our patients and accounts receivable. She also does a fantastic job of keeping the doctors on track with MIPS compliance. She loves the challenge of researching insurance claims and enjoys meeting and being with people.
Sherry and her husband, Paige, have been married for more than forty years. They have two children, Jennifer and Paige, and four precious grandchildren. When not at the office, Sherry spends her time playing piano for churches, making memories with the grandchildren, and enjoying her friends.
Pam has been with the Vision Tech family since 2004. As an ophthalmic technician, she takes medical and ocular histories and performs tests that provide valuable information to the doctors. The most enjoyable aspect of her job is the personal interaction with our patients. It is rewarding for her to meet new and interesting people every day. Outside the office, Pam enjoys working with the church and spending time with her family.
Carrie has been part of the Vision Tech team since 2007. Carrie has watched the practice grow over the years and feels it is an exciting place to work. She has worked in other optometry practices before and finds Vision Tech to be the most advanced and patient caring practice.
Her primary duties involve patient care. Carrie takes medical and visual histories and performs various tests on our computerized instruments to obtain useful information for the doctors. Carrie takes great pride in her work and enjoys assisting our patients with personal and friendly service.
When not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her son, Spencer. Carrie just enjoys life and tries to live each day to the fullest!
